01 — Programme continuity
A two-day introduction to terminal automation
The second session continued the programme organised by SOLON Academy and the IU-C Maritime Club. The course aimed to help maritime students understand port and terminal concepts while seeing how a TOS supports operational coordination.
Across the two days, participants connected the terminology of terminal operations with software-supported planning, execution and commercial processes.
02 — Learning scope
From operational demand to commercial completion
The programme covered the foundations of Terminal Operating Systems and operational processes, together with scalability, request management and planning.
It then followed the operation through gate and weighbridge activities, vessel and yard operations, and commerce and billing. Sector guests contributed practical perspectives to reinforce the programme content.
